Klintiendharm Trip To Penang
MBSA Maha sanghikadana
The Maha Sanghikadana is an important event well known among Buddhist in both the Theravada and Mahayana traditions. Once Buddha asked his disciple, Ven. Maudgalyayana, to perform this meritorious deed on Ullambana Day in order to rescue his mother who was suffering in the hungry ghost ream. His mother was saved by his deed. Thus, many Buddhists follow Ven. Maudgalyayana's example by performing the Maha Sanghikadana to benefit their parents both living and deceased. In conjunction with the Malaysian Buddhist Sangha Association's Maha Sanghikadana, the Klintiendharm Foundation is organising a tour and visit to Penang to participate in this auspicious occasion. The package will includes, one sponshorship share of donation towards the Maha Sanghikadana. The Klintiendharm visit to Than Hsiang, Penang is to provide our Core Members, Volunteers, and Staffs with an understanding of the objectives, vision and mission of the Than Hsiang Temple. It is also to introduce them to the Than Hsiang and its staff in Malaysia and to participate in the Maha sanghikadana. .
